And more importantly, is there a train from Naples to Sorrento?

This article is part of Only A Bag's Quick Answer series. No fluff, no AI, just information.

Yes, there is a train station in Sorrento! However, while Sorrento has a train station, it's not linked to the rest of Italy's train system.

A road cut into a narrow gorge in the middle of Sorrento, with buildings on either side.

So there is a train from Naples to Sorrento?

Yes, there is! The train station in Sorrento is only serviced by 2 trains: the Circumvesuviana and the Campania Express. The Circumvesuviana is an older, Metro style train, while the Campania Express is a privately-run newer train.

Both of these trains originate in Naples at the same station, Porta Nolana, and stop at Napoli Centrale (the main train station) before heading towards Sorrento.

Both of these trains also stop in Pompeii, Herculaneum, and Vico Equense, which are all tourism hot spots.

Is there a bus station in Sorrento, Italy or just a train station?

The train station in Sorrento also serves as the bus station for tourist coaches, the SITAsud to get to the Amalfi Coast, and airport buses to Capodichino in Naples or Salerno-Amalfi Airport in Salerno.
